Episode Eight - "Jack de Keyzer"
Jack de Keyzer is someone I met at the Port Credit Southside Shuffle Blues festival back in 2000. From the moment we met, he's been a great supporter of my project. As I have stated before, he's the one who kindly offered his tune "Deal Me In" as the title song for my series. In the year 2003, Jack de Keyzer was awarded the Juno (the Canadian Music Industry equivalent of the grammy as they say) for the best blues album of the year. Episode Eight features the words and music of Jack de Keyzer. Over the years, I have become a big fan of Jack's music and this episodes traces his history and his thoughts on playing the blues. This episode features the tunes from the "Six String Lover" CD including "Jump Right To It", "Engine Troubles", "If you were my woman (and I was your man)" and "The Answer". |
